Got a missed call earlier, probably another one of those accident claim scams. Honestly, the best bit about these calls is letting them go on for a while before telling them, “I’m pretty sure you’ve got the wrong info, I haven’t been in an accident for over two decades.” Then you just wait and see if they hang up or you get that awkward quiet. If it’s the silence, just ask nicely, “Are you alright? Have you met your maker or something?” These callers really have no clue, it’s laughable.

I keep gettin calls non stop, its like they just wont stop harrasing me!

This number rang me the other day, and the woman on the line claimed she needed to discuss a car crash I supposedly was involved in. I explained I hadn’t been in any accident and mentioned we’re registered with the TPS. She immediately ended the call. It was clearly a cold call, and shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
