I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming that I'd been involved in an accident and was eligible for some sort of compensation. The chap went on about needing to submit my claim within a fortnight. To have a bit of fun, I kept him chatting for a bit, but when I said I had been decapitated in the mishap, it dawned on him I was having a laugh. He abruptly told me to shove off and ended the call. - caller: Accident claims

I’ve been inundated with compensation-related cold calls on my mobile, particularly from those pesky 0151 numbers.
