4 yearsGot a call from someone named Tom about the insulation in my loft, said it was causing mould and condensation. Sounded like total rubbish to me, felt like a scam straight away. What really got me was he wanted to come inside for a “survey” - no thanks!Tom5 yearsI got a call from a number I didn't recognise. Answered it but there was nothing on the line, so I just ended the call. Checked the number on this site afterwards and decided to block it.6 yearsThey call every single day and just won't stop bothering me.6 yearsA lady phoned me offering a deal just like others have mentioned, charging £4.99 weekly for multiple competition entries. She said I could pay using either a debit or credit card for ongoing payments. However, my lad pointed out that since 1st April 2020, it's actually against the law to gamble using a credit card. If she was genuine, surely she would’ve been aware of this by now. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam.6 yearsI received a missed call on my phone on Monday, and then again yesterday, Tuesday, while I had my device switched off at work. However, today, Wednesday, during my lunch break, I managed to catch them. It turned out to be a woman with a distinctive Liverpool accent, hailing from the 0151 area code. She was quite amiable throughout our conversation, asking me about ‘lucky numbers’ and subtly promoting competitions that would cost me £4.99 weekly or monthly-something along those lines. I declined her offer, as I was quite aware that had I said yes, she would likely have requested my banking information, which is where one must exercise caution. She then mentioned she might call me back in a few weeks or months to discuss more competition entries, all while maintaining a pleasant and persuasive tone. Once again, I politely refused. She ended the call by saying it was lovely to chat with me. It’s astonishing how someone can sound so genuine while potentially fishing for my bank details.Liverpool6 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call on Monday, which came through whilst I was out and about. Then, on Tuesday, I was unable to answer as my phone was turned off during work hours. However, today, Wednesday, I finally managed to pick up during my lunch break. The caller was a woman who sounded distinctly Liverpudlian, as the 0151 number indicated. She was quite polite throughout our conversation but was keen on discussing 'lucky numbers' and promoting some kind of competition for £4.99, be it monthly or weekly - the specifics were rather fuzzy. I politely declined her offer, sensing that if I had said yes, she would have probed for my banking details, which is a slippery slope indeed. She then mentioned that she could follow up with me in a few weeks or months to tempt me with additional competition entries, all while keeping her tone friendly and persuasive. Again, I declined. At the end of our chat, she wrapped things up with a cheery remark about how lovely it had been to speak with me. The truth is, she seemed very adept at sounding sincere and convincing, likely in hopes of snagging my banking info had I been more inclined.6 yearsGot a call telling me I was going into a draw for £10,000 and they asked me for 7 digits. Then they started going on about another competition that costs £4.99 every month to join. I looked into it and apparently these online competitions have now stopped any sort of automated entries. Feels like a total con to me.6 yearsI've just received a call that's clearly a scam, masquerading as a competition or lottery. They kicked things off by expressing gratitude for allegedly completing a survey-something I can say with certainty I never participated in!6 yearsOn 22/1/20 I got a call, called them back and some bloke with a Liverpool accent said I’d won a prize draw - which I never actually entered. Told him goodbye and just hung up.Liverpool6 yearsGot a call from a number I didn’t recognise, they didn’t leave anything and I just ended up blocking it.6 yearssomeone called me claiming I could win a prize by giving them 7 lucky numbers. I just made up some numbers to join their ‘free’ contest. then they hit me with the catch - if I pay £4.99 monthly, I get access to 250 prize draws, no contract and can cancel whenever. I just told them to ring me in a few months. Put the number on my block list now!7 yearsGot a ring from this number not long ago, turned out to be my health advisor on the line. Seems like loads of dodgy groups might be using this number though.7 yearsGot a call from some Asian bloke who couldn’t give me any of my personal info when I pressed him on it. All he managed was a surname and an address. I told him if he really knew who lived there, answering a basic question shouldn’t be hard. I also warned him that if I looked up his number online, it’d probably say ‘scammer’! Honestly, folks need to call out these muppets and ask for loads of details about yourself. If they can’t provide that, then they definitely don’t have your proper info like a genuine company would.7 yearsI keep getting calls, but whenever I answer, there’s nobody there! It’s so frustrating. I’m looking for a way to block these numbers on my home phone. Does anyone know how to do that?7 yearsI keep getting calls every day from this spammer, saying I won some online draw. They keep asking for my bank info. I've blocked the number now.7 yearsGot a call from some bloke claiming I took part in a survey and was entered into a £10,000 prize draw. After chatting for a bit, he began asking for my bank info. I ended the call right away. Doesn't sound legit to me.7 yearsGot a call from this number but they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail, so it couldn’t have been anything urgent. I don’t have a clue who it is, so my best guess is it was either some annoying telemarketer or just another scammer. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.7 yearsThis number kept ringing me the past few days. Today I finally picked up since I was bored and decided to see who it was out of sheer curiosity!7 yearsThis number keeps calling me nearly every day but I never pick up. They never bother leaving a voicemail either. I looked it up on Google and didn’t find anything useful, so it’s probably just some kind of spam.GoogleSubmit Your Own Report (0151 363 1293)
