This seems like a dodgy insurance scam, and it's definitely not on the right side of the law. They've rung me half a dozen times now, using a bunch of different numbers, even though I've told them off loads of times to take me off their list. I tried reporting it to Action Fraud, but apparently I didn’t hand over enough proof for them to do much about it. If anyone’s managed to record a call with these lot, or can find out more about what they’re actually pushing, please send it to Action Fraud. We need to stop anyone else getting caught out by this mess.

At first, the line was just silent, then someone picked up and asked me about a car accident. They actually knew my full name. When I explained I wasn’t involved in any accident, they said they’d fix their records.
