On the 29th of January, I got a call from a bloke claiming to be with BT, saying my IP address was at risk. I asked him, “If you’re really from BT, why aren’t you ringing from an 0800 number like normal?” He said they’ve got branches all over the place. So, I told him I’d ring BT myself to check, and then he just ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Somebody called saying I owed for train fares and then tried to redirect me to what they called ‘bank security’.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be with BT, saying there was something wrong with my internet. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, telling me someone bought something for £4.99 and wanted my phone number and email to send a refund. I asked them if they could tell me details about the order before that to confirm it was really Amazon, but they just ended the call right away. Sounds like a scam to me.
