2 yearsSo, it started with a call saying Microsoft was warning me about hackers on my PC. I played along for a while, then got passed to some bloke claiming to be a tech expert. When I mentioned that the message I saw actually said Microsoft doesn’t notify people about hacking, he got really rude and dropped the F bomb a few times. I asked him for proof of their phone number, which he had given me earlier, and just like that, he slammed the phone down on me, accusing me of being a proper scammer myself!
