Someone rang me up asking for my address. They said they couldn’t locate number 29 and then wanted to know my name. I don’t live at number 29 and since the call was from Liverpool, which is more than three hours from where I am, it felt a bit strange.

Got a missed call earlier. There’s loads of grants for boilers, insulation and stuff but it really depends on where you live. Some places check your income, others dont, and sometimes you might have to pay a bit yourself. But watch out for anyone saying they’ve “verified” things with the DWP - I doubt that’s legit.

Someone rang up asking how old my boiler was, said there’s some government grant you can get to swap it out for free if you’re on benefits. They mentioned next month it might be open to more folks and said they’d call me back then.

Got a call back on 4th Dec 2019 from a bloke claiming to be from Gwynedd Council. I said I’d double check with the council before doing anything and ended the call. Then I rang up Gwynedd Council myself and they said they don’t use that number 01513293167 for any heating improvement schemes.

Some bloke said he was from Shropshire council and said they had grants available. Then he asked if I still lived where I do now, which he mentioned, and if I had oil central heating. I said yes, and he said he’d call back in about 12 weeks. Not really sure what the call was about, but it definitely couldn’t have been the council since the area code was wrong.

Some bloke called Kyle, sounds Welsh, from CES, had all my info - name, phone number and even where I live! He told me he was ringing about a Government grant. I cut him off straight away and told him I’m on the TPS, never gave permission for any calls and to delete my details right away. He said he would, then hung up. Guess we’ll see if he actually does it or not!
