Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, said something about an accident a few years ago. They’re probably gonna keep ringing me even tho I’m on the do not call list and my number’s unlisted. So annoying!

On 26/09/2016 at 18:12, I got a call from 01513241116. A man said he was from the Road Safety Department based in Manchester. He asked about an accident I’d supposedly been in but when I asked for details, he kept pushing for personal info. I asked why he was ringing me then he just cut off. Wouldn’t trust this one.

Got a call from some claims company, couldn’t catch their name though. Usual fishing for info type call, asking if anyone had been in an accident. Didn’t hang around, just went straight to my call blocker and hit "Block Now".

Like many of the other remarks here, it appears to be a dubious company dangling the carrot of accident claims. If they were truly legitimate, they’d have specific information about an incident to share! It simply stands to reason that if they’re just making cold calls to anyone with a phone, there’s absolutely no basis for trusting them at all!

Today, on the 21st of September, 2016, I received a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft. I've asked them to take my details off their list, but despite being on the Telephone Preference Service, those pesky calls just keep coming through. It's quite frustrating, to be honest!

Got a call out of the blue today, the person said they were from Road Traffic Management at first, but when I asked them to verify the company name, suddenly they said Lawyers Attorney. They wanted to know if me or any family member had been involved in an accident in the past three years. When I asked for their official Registered Company Number, they just hung up. I’m on the TPS list, so why am I still getting these annoying calls?!

I received a phone call from this number earlier today, with a chap named Jacob on the line. He was inquiring about a recent car accident and mentioned that a cheque would be dispatched shortly. He claimed to be representing Accident Reports & Claims from J B Law solicitors based in Liverpool. When we mentioned that our solicitor was handling everything, he persisted, requesting the names of individuals involved in the incident and details of any injuries sustained. Given that we are awaiting updates from our legal team regarding the recent accident, we initially considered that it might be legitimate. However, after doing a bit of digging into the number, I'm relieved I didn't divulge much information. Now I can't shake the feeling of unease, as I worry he might try again. This whole ordeal has been rather distressing, especially since we lost a family member in that tragic accident not long ago.

If you come across an unfamiliar number, try answering with a greeting followed by your business name and a friendly inquiry about how you can assist them. This approach tends to throw them off balance, making them believe they might have dialled the wrong person. I had a call this morning from 01513241116, and it really did the trick!

I just got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent, going on about some accident I supposedly had in the past couple years. I told him he dialled the wrong number, but he acted like he didn’t get it. So I said I haven’t had any accidents in the last 2 years at all, and he actually asked, ‘not even a tiny scratch?’ Can you believe that? I told him to remove me from their list and not to phone me again. Let’s see if he actually listens.

As soon as I picked up, there was a weird pause then a guy with an Indian accent started asking me about some accident I supposedly had. I stayed quiet and just left the call open while I kept doing my stuff. I’ve signed up with the TPS, so I made sure to report it to them. These calls feel like harassment, and I’m really curious how they manage to get hold of our numbers in the first place!

I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet I received a call from this number concerning supposed car accident insurance. When I requested more information, they insisted on verifying my details first - they asked for my name (which I obviously wouldn’t give). Then they wanted my postcode? They kept saying, "it's all in our documents department." I was left on the line for six minutes before they abruptly cut off the call. Quite the charade, isn’t it?

We all want to receive fair compensation when it’s not our fault. I thought the team at this company were really thorough and supportive. It’s great that they send the documents by post with an agent, so you don’t have to worry about printing anything. Plus, everything was handled properly and pretty quickly too.

Received a call today that my call blocker flagged straight away, prompting the caller to state their name. When I picked up, the line was eerily silent, just an empty void where a name should've been. I was then presented with the choice to either accept or decline the call. Since they didn't trouble themselves to introduce themselves, I decided to end the call promptly. If this number tries to ring me again, my call blocker will swiftly block them without a second thought. I’m registered with the TPS, but honestly, I wouldn’t want to be without my trusty call blocker!

Got a call from some bloke with a weird accent, talking about a car crash or something. Told him to get lost, I don’t even drive! The cops really should keep an eye on this number. These days, even crappy reporters can tap into phones!

Can these individuals genuinely believe they’re fooling anyone? Today, I got a call from this number, and as per usual, I inquired: which accident are you referring to? Who was driving? Who provided the details about the incident, and could you give me the address for your firm (GB Lawyers)? Unsurprisingly, the chap on the line, who had an Asian accent, couldn’t muster up any satisfactory answers to my queries. He did question why I was keen on acquiring his company's address. I informed him it would enable me to delve a bit deeper into the situation. At that moment, he completely lost the plot and told me to ‘F off’. Instead of just ending the call, I pointed out that, given his barely adequate command of English, he might grasp that I considered him a conman trying to perpetrate a scam. I made it perfectly clear that to me, he ranked among the absolute dregs, which I dare say was likely more of a sting than my ‘F off’ remark!

I recently picked up the phone only to be greeted by a chap with an Asian accent claiming I was entitled to some compensation following an accident. Naturally, I inquired how he had come by my details, and he mentioned some so-called compensation agreement that popped up on his screen. Despite my insistence that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and wasn’t interested in his call, he continued to pressure me about a significant sum of compensation waiting for me! Ben Wilson - odd name for someone with such a thick Indian accent. He tried to help me with a claim about an accident. It took him a while to work out that I wasn’t actually hurt after falling off a donkey in Spain because it stumbled on the pavement. I wouldn't recommend picking up if you see this number; it's just another insurance sales pitch. If you do happen to answer, it’s best to just cut the call short. They tend to be fairly relentless and often try to engage in a debate, which can be rather tiresome.

Even though I'm on the TPS list, this number still called me. Some bloke with an Indian accent said his name was Andrew and claimed he was from Microsoft's fraud team, asking how I was doing - I just hung up straight away. Best to ignore them, they’re just trying to hassle folks into handing over bank details so they can nick your money or trick you into downloading malware to rob you online. Proper nasty lot with nothing better to do.

I received a call claiming to be from the Highways, regarding an incident. Given that my wife had recently been involved in a rather serious road traffic accident, I inquired multiple times if they were indeed representing a Government Agency. My instincts were telling me something wasn't quite right, especially when they kept pushing for assistance with compensation claims. I pressed them again to ascertain their affiliation with the Highways Agency, which they affirmed, but they vehemently denied any connection to insurance matters or data collection. When I requested their department's name, they eventually identified themselves as JB Solicitors. Quite the suspicious exchange, if you ask me!

Same old nonsense. They wanted info about some accident I was in. I told them I’m actually aiming to have a crash soon, maybe a boat or a chopper, and they can be first in line for the claim. Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from the "Accident Helpline". I told her I'm on the TPS list and that what she's doing is illegal. I rang her number back to see what the actual company was, but no answer. I also looked up the number on a few other reverse phone sites, and it looks like this might be a scam trying to get your personal info by pretending to help with accident claims.

Got one of those accident claim calls again. I told them I was really happy they were reaching out since my crash. Guess they caught on I was messing about, because they hung up straight away.

This number rings non stop like 5 to 10 times a day but when I answer, all I hear’s a dial tone and then someone says “goodbye”. Ive only had my landline for about 3 weeks and the phone provider doesnt even have any info on it. Same with the mobile, been using that number for 2 months now and not much luck.

Received a rather odd call regarding a supposed car crash involving my family. The chap on the other end seemed completely unaware of our surname, and to be honest, there haven't been any incidents in years. To add to the strangeness, he rang a work number that we don’t share publicly-it's solely for internal communications. Sounded like he had an Indian accent. I wasn't having any of it, so I told him to 'get lost' and made it clear not to ring back.

I’m thoroughly exasperated with the number 01513241116, which keeps pestering me with what can only be described as harassing calls. I first reported it on July 19, 2016, at 10:47 AM. The caller claims to be inquiring about a supposed road traffic incident involving my family. The kicker? They had no idea who belongs to my family, and it’s been years since any such mishap occurred. To top it off, they reached out on a business line that’s meant strictly for internal communications-who knows how they stumbled upon that number! The chap on the other end had a distinct Indian accent which only added to my annoyance. I ended up telling him to "get lost" and firmly requested he cease all calls. Enough is enough!

Got a call about a supposed car crash involving my family, but he had no clue about any of our names and there hasn't been any accident in ages. Plus, he rang a work number that's never shared outside and just used for internal stuff, so clearly just guessing numbers. The bloke had an Indian accent. I just told him to "F### ##f" and made sure he doesn't ring back.

They rang me at 11:21 and I had no clue who it was, so I answered in my daft chef voice. There was an Asian bloke on the line, and when I took my sweet time asking who he wanted, he just hung up. I’m registered with TPS and I’m definitely going to report this to the ICO.

I received a call from this number, where a gentleman with an Indian accent spoke so rapidly that I couldn't quite discern the name of the company. The only word that registered with me was "accident," and then he wished me a lovely afternoon, even though it was barely 10:15 in the morning! He followed up with the customary "How's your day going?" Without hesitation, I requested that he take my information off their list as I have no interest in these types of calls. His response was rather cheeky-he asked, "Why should I bother removing your details?" I reiterated my request, explaining that I simply want to avoid further disturbances. At that point, he abruptly ended the call.

The caller claimed to be from some accident investigation team and said they had details about an accident involving me, which wasn’t true at all. I told them they must have the wrong person and just ended the call!

I received a call from someone insisting they had details regarding an accident I supposedly experienced in the past two years, which is simply not true! I informed them of their mistake and promptly ended the conversation. Just another classic example of a scam call, if you ask me.

I received a call from someone claiming to be part of an "accident investigation team." They mentioned I could potentially file a claim due to an accident I supposedly had in the past two years. I informed them that I hadn't been involved in any accidents recently and promptly terminated the call. Sounds like just another dodgy claims scam, doesn’t it?

I received a rather persistent call today from someone claiming I had been involved in a car accident in the last three years. They even mentioned a street in my locality! After a couple of minutes of relentless questioning about this supposed incident, I found myself questioning my own memory, even though I was certain nothing had happened. When I pressed her for details about the vehicle in question, she refused to disclose any information. In a bid to throw her off, I asked for my name. To my surprise, she quickly apologised and ended the call once I pointed out that she had the wrong person. Quite the nuisance, isn't it?

got calls from some mat smith guy (like the dr who bloke lol) about a crash i supposedly had - 5 times yesterday and twice today. He’s saying i can get £2500 for damage i never got! all he asked for was my reg and phone number (the one he called me on). The company’s site is [#]jblaw[###] but it’s down now. If he’s really a time lord maybe he can tell me when this crash is gonna happen so i can avoid it? (01513241116)

I received a rather peculiar call from a chap with an accent that reminded me of the Far East. He began rattling on about some road incident that I supposedly experienced and how I could pursue a claim for it. When I mentioned rather firmly that I didn’t own a vehicle, nor had I ever been behind the wheel, he persisted with his tale, insisting that someone residing at my address must have been involved in an accident. At that point, I lost my patience and exclaimed, “Look here, I don’t drive, and I’m on my own!" That seemed to do the trick, as he promptly ended the call. Quite infuriating, to say the least!

Some dodgy car accident call came through to my old folks’ number - same mob using 020 332 58963?? I’m getting a call blocker and have already reported them to Ofcom since we’re signed up to TPS, so they shouldn’t be ringing at all. This isn’t just annoying, it’s proper harassment for elderly people, these firms are seriously risky.

01513241116 - ROAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT Called me about a car crash they claimed we was involved in. I told them that wasn’t true and questioned why they’d call us when we’re on the TPS register. Mentioned they might get fined for ringing a number that’s supposed to be blocked and unlisted. They quickly hung up after that.

I had a call from this number earlier today. A man with a distinctly Indian accent began to inform me that he'd gotten my information from some road safety agency concerning an accident I'd supposedly had in the past three years, claiming I could file for compensation since I was not at fault. The thing is, I haven't been involved in any accidents! When I pushed back on his claims, he promptly disconnected the call. Very dodgy!

The phone has been ringing off the hook today, at least 50 times! Every time I pick up, they just hang up. And when I try to call back, there's no answer at all. It’s such a nuisance and it's blocking the line for genuine customers!

If you're finding yourself inundated with these pesky phone calls, it’s essential to get in touch with your telecom provider. They’ll likely provide you with a specific number to call, and after that, you can simply tap the star key twice. Just yesterday, I received two bizarre calls in quick succession-one from 01429870783 and another from 01513241116. It’s utterly infuriating when no one bothers to respond on the other end! It’s high time the legislation took a stand against such intrusions. However, they recommend contacting your service provider, who can supply the number to dial, followed by a quick double tap of the star key to effectively block all these unwanted calls. Quite a handy trick!

Same old story - they said I’d been in an accident sometime in the last few years. Thought I’d mess with the caller a bit. Asked if he could tell me my name, but he couldn’t. Then I asked where he got my number from. He claimed it was passed on by the Road Safety Authority. Told him I’d never heard of that. Asked if it was some official government body. He didn’t have an answer. Asked for their phone number and he just gave me the number I was calling from. After around 5 minutes, he gave up. Couldn’t block the call though as it showed up as coming from abroad.
