He asked about an accident I’d supposedly been in but when I asked for details, he kept pushing for personal info. I asked why he was ringing me then he just cut off. Wouldn’t trust this one.

Got a call from this number earlier on 21st September 2016, they claimed to be from Microsoft. I asked them to take me off their calling list. I'm signed up with the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to block these kind of calls at all.

Got a call out of the blue today, the person said they were from Road Traffic Management at first, but when I asked them to verify the company name, suddenly they said Lawyers Attorney. They wanted to know if me or any family member had been involved in an accident in the past three years. When I asked for their official Registered Company Number, they just hung up. I’m on the TPS list, so why am I still getting these annoying calls?!

Today I got a ring from this number, some bloke called Jacob asking about a car crash we were involved in. He said a cheque was due to be sent out soon. When I mentioned our solicitor was handling everything, he claimed he was from J B Law solicitors in Liverpool, dealing with accident claims. He wanted the names of everyone in the car and details of any injuries. Since we’re still waiting to hear from our own lawyer about the accident, I thought he might be legit. But after looking up the number, I’m relieved I didn’t spill much info. This has been really tough for us, especially since we lost someone close in that crash. I just hope this guy doesn't keep pestering us.

I told him he dialled the wrong number, but he acted like he didn’t get it. I told him to remove me from their list and not to phone me again. Let’s see if he actually listens.

Even though I'm on the TPS, I got a ring from this number about some supposed car crash insurance. I asked for more info - they wanted me to confirm my name, then my postcode? Their reply was just "that's with our docs team." After about 6 minutes on the call, she just ended it on me.

Got a call from this number today. My call blocker stepped in and requested a name from the caller, then let the call ring through. When I picked up, the blocker said the caller ID was empty - no name or info given. Because they didn’t say who they were, I hit reject straight away. If this number tries again, my call blocker won’t let it ring at all. I’m on the TPS list but honestly wouldn’t be without my blocker now.

Does anyone seriously think these callers are any good at trying to scam people? I got a ring from this number today and, like before, I grilled them: asked which accident they meant, who was driving, who gave them the info and where their firm - GB Lawyers - is based. The guy, who sounded Asian, couldn’t properly answer any of it. When he asked why I needed the firm's address, I said I wanted to look into it more closely. That’s when he snapped and told me to “F off.” I didn’t just hang up though; I told him with his shaky English he should realise I knew he was a scammer trying to pull a fast one. I made it clear I thought of him as one of the lowest of the low, which seemed to hit harder than me telling him to “F off”!

Today, this number called my landline about six times. I didn’t pick up at first since I didn’t know who it was. Eventually, I got fed up and answered on the last ring. It was some bloke from India asking if I’d been in a car crash in the past three years. I asked where he was calling from but he just kept barging on without answering, repeating the same thing. I told him straight up no one here’s been in an accident and asked him to take my number off whatever list he had. He ignored that again and rattled on asking “who in the house had an accident?” I replied again none of us have, but he kept saying “yes yes, in the last three years.” When I told him again, louder this time he said “yes yes you had accident in three years, we get compensation.” I firmly said we don’t want any compensation and that I was hanging up and never wanted to hear from him again. Then I slammed down the phone.

It took him a while to work out that I wasn’t actually hurt after falling off a donkey in Spain because it stumbled on the pavement. I wouldn't recommend picking up if you see this number; it's just another insurance sales pitch. If you do happen to answer, it’s best to just cut the call short. They tend to be fairly relentless and often try to engage in a debate, which can be rather tiresome.

I got a call from someone saying they had details about an accident I supposedly had in the past couple of years, which was totally not true. I told them they must be mistaken and ended the call quickly. Sounds like a classic scam to me.

Got a call earlier and this person kept telling me I’d been in a car crash within the past three years, even named a street in my town. After a couple of minutes of them pushing this supposed accident, which I knew didn’t happen, I began to wonder if maybe I’d forgotten something. Then I asked what kind of car was supposedly involved, and they said they couldn’t share that. So I asked for my own name, and that’s when they said sorry and ended the call. I told them they’d got the wrong person and the wrong name before they hung up.

got calls from some mat smith guy (like the dr who bloke lol) about a crash i supposedly had - 5 times yesterday and twice today. He’s saying i can get £2500 for damage i never got! all he asked for was my reg and phone number (the one he called me on). The company’s site is [#]jblaw[###] but it’s down now. I got a call from someone with an Asian accent who started going on about a road crash I’d supposedly been in and how I could get compensation. I told them right away that I don’t drive, have no licence, and don’t even own a car, but they just kept going, saying someone at my place was involved in an accident. I had to raise my voice and say, ‘I live alone and don’t drive,’ then they finally dropped the line. Proper frustrating!

Some dodgy car accident call came through to my old folks’ number - same mob using 020 332 58963?? I’m getting a call blocker and have already reported them to Ofcom since we’re signed up to TPS, so they shouldn’t be ringing at all. This isn’t just annoying, it’s proper harassment for elderly people, these firms are seriously risky.

01513241116 - ROAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT Called me about a car crash they claimed we was involved in. I told them that wasn’t true and questioned why they’d call us when we’re on the TPS register. Mentioned they might get fined for ringing a number that’s supposed to be blocked and unlisted. They quickly hung up after that.

Got a call from this number today and some bloke with an Indian accent said he'd got my info from some road safety group about an accident I'd supposedly had in the past 3 years, saying I could get compensation because it wasn't my fault... Thing is, I haven't had any accidents. When I told him that, he just ended the call.

they kept ringing all day, at least 50 calls! every time i picked up, they just hung up straight away. when i tried calling back, they wouldnt answer. it's really annoying and tying up the line for real customers!!!

If you want to stop these annoying calls, the best thing to do is contact your phone provider. They usually give you a special number to call, and then you press the star button twice. Earlier today, I had two weird calls just minutes apart - one was from 01429870783 and the other 01513241116. Both were just silent on the other side. It’s such a pain! I reckon the law should do more about this, but for now, ringing your phone company and using that method seems to block most of these nuisance numbers.
