I received an unexpected phone call from someone trying to sell me something I never asked for.

I got a call from someone who already had my full name and address, and then they began asking if I had a mortgage and what brand my washing machine was. Wouldn't recommend answering.

He rang me and actually used my full name, then tried to sound all friendly, asking for just 30 seconds to answer a few questions. Said he’d never call again after that. I didn’t hang about though, just cut him off straight away. Total scam! They use charm just to catch you in their trap!

I got two calls from this number, both times they asked me to spare 20 seconds. They went on to say my full name and where I live, then asked me to verify. When I asked them who exactly they were, they just ended the call straight away. Seems like they’re trying to fish for my personal info - I’d stay clear of it!

Got a text on my phone claiming to be from O2, but seemed dodgy like a scam. Pretty sure it’s not legit.

They rang me up using my full name and seemed to know my address, though they got the flat number wrong - I didn’t bother to correct her. At first, she asked if I could spare 20 seconds of my time… Then asked whether I owned or rented the place, which I told them was none of their business. Next, they wanted to know if I was staying with family or mates. I told them I wasn’t going to answer any questions unless they said who they were. Then they just cut me off. Total scam attempt. Stay clear!
