I received an unexpected phone call from someone trying to sell me something I never asked for.

I was quite taken aback when they had my complete name and home address. Then they proceeded to inquire if I held a mortgage and even questioned the brand of my washing machine! Steer clear of these types, honestly!

They rang and addressed me by my complete name. The chap was overly friendly, requesting just thirty seconds of my time to ask a few questions, promising he wouldn’t bother me again after that. Without hesitation, I hung up on him. Total scam! Just trying to sweet-talk his way in!

I received two calls in quick succession, each one insisting I hold for a mere 20 seconds. Strangely, they addressed me by name and even recited my address, urging me to verify those details. When I pressed for their identity, they abruptly ended the call. It’s rather suspect, and I reckon they’re attempting to fish for my personal details - best to steer clear of these sorts!

Received a text on my phone allegedly from O2, and I can't shake the feeling it might be dodgy. The message raised some red flags for me.

I received a call where the person actually used my full name and seemed aware of my address, albeit they stumbled over my door number, which I chose not to point out. They kicked off the conversation by asking if I could spare them a mere twenty seconds. Then they inquired whether I owned my home or rented, to which I firmly responded that it was none of their concern. They pressed on, wanting to know if I was cohabiting with family or pals. At that point, I made it clear I wouldn't divulge any information until they properly introduced themselves. They ended the call abruptly. Total scammers. Stay away!
