As soon as I picked up the call, it was disconnected. It’s likely one of those automated dialler systems, isn’t it? It’s becoming quite irritating, as it seems to happen daily, with only a minor variation in the phone number each time.

They start off really sly, claiming to only need a brief moment of your time-just 20 seconds, they say. But then they proceed to pry into your personal details, like your name and address. When I requested their information in return, they swiftly hung up. Just a word of caution-stay vigilant!

I could hear a lot of hubbub from a call centre in the background. The caller’s command of English seemed a bit lacking, yet they clearly knew my name. Much like what someone else mentioned, they claimed, "I'm not trying to sell you anything, I just need about 20 seconds of your time." I didn't validate my name, and that’s when they abruptly hung up on me.

When I questioned whether that was a threat, he boldly confirmed that yes, he was indeed threatening me! Honestly, what a strange encounter! 😂
