Got a call from some bloke who spoke super slowly and sounded a bit daft. He claimed he was ringing about the pools and asked if we’d won anything. Just like others have said, today I got a call and the moment I picked up, it ended right away. Seems like I’m getting a few of these every week, different numbers popping up from all over. The woman said it was a follow-up about the Football Pools. I asked why I hadn’t got an email. She claimed they’d sent me a letter, which I did get but just ignored. I wasn’t going to share any info on the phone, so I told her I’d deal with it via the letter instead. She said alright and ended the call. Doesn’t seem like a scam to me. Bit of a pity it wasn’t a call to say I’d actually won the Pools!

Somebody rang me saying they were from an insurance company, offering to sort out a payout for a car accident I apparently had with no blame on me. It sounded dodgy straight away. They tried to get my bank info, but I had no crash at all. Total scam, pretty sure it was fishing for my details.
