I got a call on my landline around 9 in the morning on 18/12/20, some bloke with a strong middle-eastern accent claiming to be from "technical support" saying my internet had problems. I told him straight to get lost as it was obvious a scam and then reported the number to Trading Standards.

Received a call this morning at precisely 09:02 on the 18th of December, 2020. An individual with a strong Middle-Eastern accent introduced himself as being from "technical services," claiming there was a problem with my internet. I quickly realised it was a scam and told him to hang up. I've since made sure to alert Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice Consumerline on 0808 223 1133.
