Heads up everyone, this is a total scam. Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying my PPI claim went through and I'd get £5876. Then he asked for my bank info, but I told him if I was due money, they’d just send it to me directly. After that, he just hung up on me. Be careful!

Got a call from an Indian bloke who called himself David. He claimed I’d been given 5k compensation for PPI and seemed to know my name and address. When I told him that info was wrong, he just cut off the call before I could ask anything else.

Utter nonsense! I had a right dodgy call from some chancer insisting I download a remote access app so they could ‘help’ me cancel my Amazon Prime account or fork out £24.99! I suggest you do what I did-tell them to jog on and block their number!

Some bloke rang sayin’ I’d got a £5,000 PPI payout comin’ my way but wanted my bank info first. I said, if it’s sorted, he should already have that, innit? Bit sloppy as a con but he did know my name and where I live. I told him to send me his bank details and he can keep the cash. Then he just ended the call!

Got a call about PPI compensation, and the guy asked for my driving licence info. I said I wasn’t comfortable giving that out on the phone. Suddenly, he claimed he didn’t need any details at all, which confused me. When I asked why he wanted them in the first place, he got quite irate. I told him to send me the info in writing instead. He then said the only way to claim was to download some document onto my phone and fill it in. Things got heated, and after I called him a scammer, he just ended the call.

Had something like this happen to me too. He wanted me to click on a link and fill in all my info, even asked for a photo of my driving licence. I told him to just write it down on a piece of paper, put it in an envelope, and send it to my address instead.

Got a call about some old PPI claim from about five years ago that supposedly got sorted recently. The guy on the line kept asking for loads of my personal details to 'confirm' stuff. Thing is, he was sniffling like mad, sounded like he had a bad cold or something. I asked him to sort his nose out before I handed over any info. It was really weird and a bit off. Then he just wished me a nice day and hung up on me!

Beware, these people call themselves UK Reclaims but use the same address as Rectaims UK, it's definitely dodgy. I got a call about my PPI and this Indian guy kept pushing me to download some app for verification. They had my name and address already, which seemed fishy. When I asked them how they managed to get a PPI payout from a bank that had already turned me down or paid me, they just cut the call. Total scam in my opinion.

Some bloke called me saying he was from Barclays about PPI, had a bit of an Indian accent or something. He wanted me to show some photo ID and fill in a form online, said he’d guide me through it all. Didn’t feel right though, so told him I’d wait and he said he’d ring back, but never did. Not sure if it’s legit or a con. Has anyone else dealt with this number or similar situation?
