CAUTION! I’ve encountered a scam call. An Asian man informed me that my PPI claim had gone through and that I was set to receive a sum of £5,876. He insisted on obtaining my bank information, but I promptly declined, pointing out that if I were indeed entitled to such a payout, they would simply send the funds without any need for my details. After that, he abruptly ended the call.

Utter nonsense! I had a right dodgy call from some chancer insisting I download a remote access app so they could ‘help’ me cancel my Amazon Prime account or fork out £24.99! I suggest you do what I did-tell them to jog on and block their number!

Received a rather dodgy phone call claiming I had a £5,000 PPI payout in the pipeline, but they wanted my banking information. I pointed out that if they were indeed managing my PPI, they'd likely have those details already. It was an exceptionally amateurish scam, yet they had my name and address-how peculiar! I cheekily suggested that he could have the £5k as long as he provided me with his bank details first. Unsurprisingly, he abruptly ended the call!

Got a call about PPI compensation, and the guy asked for my driving licence info. I said I wasn’t comfortable giving that out on the phone. Suddenly, he claimed he didn’t need any details at all, which confused me. When I asked why he wanted them in the first place, he got quite irate. I told him to send me the info in writing instead. He then said the only way to claim was to download some document onto my phone and fill it in. Things got heated, and after I called him a scammer, he just ended the call.

Had a rather odd experience with a phone call today. An individual claimed to be dealing with some PPI affair, insisting that I had an unresolved claim from five years back which had suddenly been sorted out. He requested a heap of my personal information for “verification” purposes. The chap kept sniffling, almost as if he was battling a nasty cold, which I found incredibly distracting. I suggested he might want to take a moment to sort his nose out before I disclosed any information, as it was quite off-putting! Then, rather rudely, he finished up the conversation with a "have a nice day" and hung up on me! Quite the encounter, I must say!

Beware, these people call themselves UK Reclaims but use the same address as Rectaims UK, it's definitely dodgy. I got a call about my PPI and this Indian guy kept pushing me to download some app for verification. They had my name and address already, which seemed fishy. When I asked them how they managed to get a PPI payout from a bank that had already turned me down or paid me, they just cut the call. Total scam in my opinion.

I received a call from someone purporting to represent Barclays regarding PPI. The chap had a South Asian accent and requested that I provide photo identification along with completing an online form, claiming he would assist me step by step. It all felt rather dodgy to me, so I told him to call back later - but I've not heard a peep since. I'm still on the fence about whether it was a scam or not. Has anyone else encountered issues with this number or a similar circumstance?
