Got a call from a number in Liverpool claiming to be Virgin Media. Asked me to verify my account details. I asked for proof of who they really were, but the woman just brushed past it and started going on about some Sky channel upgrade deals. When I said no thanks, she just hung up. She mentioned the date I moved house and said I’d been with them since early 2018, which wasn’t quite right as I’ve been a Virgin customer for ages. Makes me wonder when and how they nabbed my info honestly.

Got a call claiming to be from Virgin Media. The bloke had a really strong foreign accent and you could hear loads of people chatting in the background like a call centre. He kicked off by asking how I was and if I was happy with the service, to which I said yes. Then I asked what exactly he wanted, and he said it was just a courtesy call. But soon enough he started trying to sell me extra Sky channels for half the usual price. Should’ve hung up as soon as I noticed that dodgy accent. Lesson learned - won't be picking up next time. Totally feels like a scam.

Oh, here we go again with another automated caller! This one seems to be thwarted by our call-blocking system, thank goodness. It generally chimes in during the late afternoon, around 4 to 7 PM, making it quite a nuisance. It rang about four or five times before I decided to check the number. According to 1471, it appears to be some sort of 08009 number, and it was coming from the Liverpool region. Quite vexing!
