I recently received a rather dodgy call claiming to be from HMRC, and it was absolutely dreadful. The voice on the line was clearly generated by a machine-not even a proper recording! They were ranting on about how I could end up behind bars if I didn’t cough up my tax dues. As a law-abiding citizen who puts in a decent day's work, I have no worries at all. So, I promptly decided to hang up and pay no heed to those crooks.
