He promptly rang me again, demanding to know why I had disconnected the previous call, sounding rather aggressive. I explained that there was no one speaking when I answered, and without another word, he hung up on me. It's quite obvious that any reputable business would not function in such a disreputable manner. It's now quite easy for calls from one number to appear as if they originate from an entirely different location; for instance, a call placed from a number in Glasgow can be made to look like it’s coming from a number in London.
