I've had like loads of calls from this number now. After looking it up it turns out it's a scam. They say they've found suspicious activity on your account or that your email needs resetting. Then they ask for your email and password which is a bit dodgy and means they can get into your stuff. If you're unsure just don’t pick up, ring 1471 to find out who it is or google the number because that’s really good at spotting these scammers.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent saying they were from BT and my internet was hacked or something, threatening to cut off my connection. Problem is, I don’t even use BT for my internet!

Got a silent ring just now, so I tried 1471 to find out who was calling and ended up on this site. It's really frustrating. If it’s BT, they keep warning they’ll cut off our internet - and we don’t even have BT broadband! What a pain.
