The moment she introduced herself, I couldn't shake off the feeling of doubt. When she requested that I check the router and inform her of the number of wires connected, it was clear as day that this was a scam. I briefly toyed with the idea of playing innocent and throwing in a few daft queries for good measure, but in the end, I opted to save my energy. I told her I wouldn’t be wasting my time on this nonsense and promptly ended the call.
