Got a call from a woman with an accent claiming she was from BT, offering to fix some problems with my broadband. Right away, I felt something was off. Then she started asking me to check the router and count how many wires were attached - that just confirmed it was a scam. I thought about playing along and asking stupid questions but honestly, I had better things to do. Told her I wasn’t wasting my time and ended the call. If BT really needed to contact me, why call my EE mobile instead of my BT home phone?!
