Called my landline but chose not to leave a message.

I received a rather unexpected call from a chap with an Asian accent, who said he was representing the BT Telephone Preference Service. He was prattling on about their call-blocking service and insisted that I needed to update my payment details. Seemed to me like a classic phishing attempt!

What really made the call stand out was when he went on about how British folks are the biggest con artists worldwide, then said this was his chance to get back at us and trick us out of millions. Quite something to hear!

I almost overlooked the most striking part of our conversation - he casually mentioned that the British were renowned for being the greatest tricksters globally. He went on to say that now was the moment for his folk to turn the tables and swindle us out of millions. Quite the audacious of him, I must say!

Received a call purporting to be from the Telephone Preference Service. When I expressed my skepticism, the caller took umbrage and bizarrely began to offer me some rather unsavoury services. He became even more irate when I politely declined. Quite a strange encounter, to say the least!

A bloke rang saying he was from TPS, but when I didn’t buy it, he got proper stroppy and started going on about sex stuff. Then, when I just laughed it off, he got even more narked. He wanted my card info, which of course I wasn’t about to hand over.

As soon as I answered, the only thing I heard was someone saying ‘goodbye’. Very strange.

I picked up the phone and all I heard was some recorded voice saying goodbye. Strange!

Got a call from an Asian guy with a strong accent saying he was from BT telephone preference service about updating my payment info because of some marketing calls. He also said he had my name and address just like some other caller did before. I just ended the call straight away but he did ring me back again.

I picked up but nobody was on the other end.

A few minutes ago, I got a phone call from a guy speaking with a really strong Asian accent. He claimed to be from the "telephone preference service" and already had my name, number, and home address. He told me he was checking to make sure I wasn’t getting any unsolicited marketing calls. Then he mentioned I pay my landline bill with a debit card but that my card info needed to be updated. That’s when I just hung up.
