Yesterday, my mother in law got a call from someone pretending to be her bank, asking for her sort code and account numbers. Luckily, we got the cards cancelled quick and alerted the bank straight away. It’s really shaken her up - she’s quite vulnerable - and it’s been a huge hassle and stressful for all of us to sort out. Feeling really frustrated about this scam.

Got a recorded call saying there was suspicious activity on my Visa card and to hit 1 for help. When I did, a woman answered, speaking English with a strong Indian accent. Pretty obvious it was a scam.

Just got a call from someone named John, he was asking if I had arranged a funeral plan. He said I might qualify for a free one. When I questioned why he was calling me, the phone suddenly cut off. Bit cheeky really, hope he’s sorted his own funeral plan out!
