It seems I've been caught up in a rather hefty road incident-though it certainly wasn’t due to any misstep on my part. Oddly enough, the call ended abruptly before I could elaborate. I've since added the number to my blocked contacts.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Microsoft, saying my computer was messed up. I played along for about ten mins just to waste their time. Then I asked them a few questions about Microsoft itself, and they suddenly ended the call.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who kept ringing me up four times, hassling me to enter my license number into my laptop. When I said I couldn’t do it then, he said he'd call back later. But when I told him I didn’t buy that he was from Microsoft, he got quite rude. I told him if he really was legit, he wouldn't be shouting, and he threatened to block my computer. I figured I'd wait for his call around 3pm today. Planning to waste a bit more of his time before telling him the police are monitoring my phone and are onto him right now.

I had a feeling this was one of those dodgy scam calls, so I opted not to pick up the phone. Whenever a number looks unfamiliar, I let the answering machine catch it instead. That way, I can listen to what they're on about while it captures their message. If it turns out to be something legit, I’ll jump in and take the call, but more often than not, they hang up within moments - usually after about five seconds.

This morning my brother got a call from someone claiming to be "Christopher Brown from Microsoft," speaking with a pretty thick Indian accent. They were going on about his computer, but I told them straight up my brother doesn’t even own a computer and that we aren’t interested in scam calls like that. Then I just hung up on them. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Just had a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be affiliated with Microsoft. His grasp of English was quite poor, and he had a strong accent that led me to suspect all wasn't as it seemed. This chap is definitely not legitimate; he's a scam artist, and I'd advise steering clear of him.

I ignored the call and let it ring through to voicemail, but surprise surprise, no message was left. The call came in at 8.04am on a Saturday.
