Someone phoned asking for Sally, I told him she wasn’t here. Then he started asking if we usually get loads of calls like that and said he might be able to block them for us. Oddly, he knew our postcode and asked me to confirm it, which I did.

Got a call from someone saying they were looking for a Mrs Sweeny. Told them no one here by that name and then they started asking if we get loads of calls for different people. When I said yes, they offered to block it for me but said they needed to run a line check first. Didn’t feel right as they never said their name or which company they were from, so I just ended the call.

They keep ringing but as soon as I pick up, they just drop the call. Constant annoyance!

Somebody rang me saying they were from BT and offered to cut down my bills. Then they told me to wait a moment while they checked with their manager. After a short time, a ‘manager’ came on the phone, but he sounded exactly the same as the first bloke. I just hung up straight away.

I got a call asking about our BT bill and who settled it. When I asked for his name, he got all flustered and said he was just about to give it to me. He kept cutting me off and kept saying “Wendy” over and over. Eventually, I told him I wasn’t interested in chatting anymore and just hung up.
