oh great, got a call saying my computer's been hacked or something. and they actually expected me to just hand over my bank info and let them mess about with my PC. nah, not a chance! told them to jog on and maybe find a proper job. total scammer. don’t fall for it, folks. blocked the number straight away.

earlier today my phone line was acting up, kept saying it was busy even when I wasn’t on the phone. later on, I got a call from someone claiming to be from talktalk tech support. because we get loads of calls like that, I’m pretty sure it was just another scam.

They’ve rung me like 7 times today, and every time I answer, they just cut off straight away. The number switches between this one and 001162695452, although sometimes it just says no caller ID. When someone actually did speak, it was a bloke with an Indian accent. I’m pretty sure it’s another one of those scams. Blocking them doesn’t help either because they just keep coming back with different numbers. Honestly, it’s so frustrating now!

some bloke rang saying he was from talktalk, said my modem was sending them error alerts (which it definitely wasn't). he wanted me to hit windows-r on my computer, but i run linux so that did nothing. when i told him this, he was like, "fine, i'm not interested in chatting anymore. boring..."

This bloke kept ringing me thrice, saying he was from BT and struggling loads with his English once he stepped away from his script. He kept asking random stuff like where I was calling from and what the weather was like. After a bit, I told him to just buzz off and multiply - then he hung up on me.

someone just rang me claiming to be from talktalk, saying there’s problems with my modem. who even are these people? feels like a dodgy scam to me. can anyone verify if this is legit or not?

I picked up but there was just silence for a bit, then the person ended the call. This number has rung me three times today already. The earlier calls just went to voicemail with no message left.

This person claimed to be from Talk Talk and said my modem was having issues. I found that quite amusing since I’m not even a Talk Talk customer! I just told them that and hung up straight away.
