They've rung me a couple of times this week, after not a peep for about six months. This company pretends to be chasing up debts from years back. They keep switching their name and show up in different forms. Seems legit, right? Nah, it’s just a financial con and total harassment. Why don’t the Police Fraud Squad do something about it?

Fair enough practice, I guess. They keep calling and bugging you to get you involved in some sort of money claim through them. They ain’t exactly scammers, but once you’ve said yes to anything, they do get pretty pushy.

Absolutely shocking scam! Today, I received a call on my mobile from this number, and lo and behold, the caller claimed to be from "Fair Trading Practice." To my astonishment, he already had our name, which made me a bit uneasy. He mentioned needing to conduct a "security check" and proceeded to ask for our address and email. Regrettably, we were fooled into thinking he was above board and shared that information with him. He promised to send us an email outlining the purpose of the call, and since we had previously lodged a claim for PPI, we thought it was legitimate. It’s clear that this individual might have had access to our details from his time at "Fair Trading Practice." If he’s meddling in affairs that he shouldn't, perhaps the authorities ought to investigate links to former employees of "Fair Trading Practice." Truly appalling behaviour!

Reading through the comments, I’m kinda relieved I didn’t pick up. They’ve called me loads of times on both my mobile and home phone. If this is about Fair Trade Practice, they already have my email from a while back, so they could just send me anything important that way.

These days, if I don’t know the number and there’s no message, I won’t bother calling back but instead look it up here to see if it’s some telemarketer or a scam. Got calls repeatedly from the same number claiming to be from the Department for Work and Pensions, but they definitely weren’t. Then, that very same number rang my landline saying they were from Just Eat. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Instead of leaving a voicemail, the caller just hangs up as soon as the blocker picks up, which makes me think it's some kind of automated system.
