It’s definitely a scam, best not to pick up or agree to anything they say.

Just got a call on my landline from Voxbone, some script about house insulation or something.

Whatever you do, don’t get tricked into replying "yes" to these calls. Also, keep your answers super short - like one or two words tops - when dealing with scammers. Often, these are linked to the so-called ‘loft insulation scam’, which you might want to google. If you’ve already spoken to them, you might face issues that only show up later on. It’s worth researching terms like ‘yes scams’ and ‘voice cloning fraud’ to stay safe. And always make sure to report every scam call. You’ll find the details for reporting below.

Luckily, after seeing what others said, I decided not to answer it. I’d already had a call from a number I didn’t recognise about five minutes before. Honestly, I’m thinking of just disconnecting the landline altogether since it’s only ever spam callers ringing me.

Got a call from 01488310488 but there was no one speaking. I’m on the TPS list, so kinda annoying!

Got a call from a landline that apparently is only meant for making calls, not receiving them. No voicemail or nothing left. The number was sorta similar to another call I'd had recently (something like 01488310 394) and the caller said they were trying to sell solar panels or something. Bit weird really.

I got a call from 01488310488 and it was this computer voice checking if I could hear her properly. Then I figured out it was probably one of those YES SCAM things. I asked why they were asking me that, and it just kept repeating the question like four times before finally saying “sorry, no problem” and ending the call. Weird experience!

I picked up the phone but nobody said a word, which was really frustrating since I was busy looking after my mum at the time. Proper annoying!

I got a ring on my landline from (014883 10488) even though I've got a call blocking service on. Luckily, I usually let it go to voicemail, so whoever it was didn’t manage to get hold of me or leave any sort of message.

Lately ive been getting loads of calls but when i answer, theres nothing there - just dead silence. Most of these calls seem to be coming from some company called Voxbone SA. Quite annoying really!

I answered the phone and this bloke asked, “Are you hearing me okay?” I said yes, then the line just dropped. Kinda freaks me out, thinking maybe they’ll use my reply for some kinda dodgy AI thing. These days, you can’t trust anything... not safe at all.

There’s this male voice that sounds like an AI, always beginning the call with "Can you hear me alright?" It clearly wants a certain reply, but if you don’t give it, it just stops talking and gets all quiet. I’ve noticed this happening on loads of different phone numbers, every day for the past couple weeks. I reckon it’s some kind of scam related to insulation. Best to report it to your phone company and the ICO. Seems like they don’t care about the TPS at all.
