Phone number ☎️ 01487840719 👆 is reported as an unsolicited and potentially fraudulent call often involving individuals with Indian accents claiming to represent British financial services. Callers use different numbers and specifically request the recipient by name. They frequently mention PPI refunds and entice targets by offering settlements, while imposing conditions such as providing recent life insurance policies to avoid bank charges. The callers pressure recipients to speak with advisors who offer policies that can reportedly be cancelled after cheque receipt, although transparency is lacking and follow-up information is often not delivered. Recipients advise caution, suggest blocking the numbers, and warn that these calls may be scams attempting to exploit personal and financial information.

6 yearsI got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, said her name was Susanne. She kept asking for me using my name, but when I tried to find out who she was, she just hung up straight away after I asked twice.Susanne6 yearsClaimed I was due a complete PPI reimbursement, but as soon as I inquired about the bank, the call suddenly ended!6 yearsI've been bombarded with unsolicited calls from some British financial services firm, and it's happened three times now! They keep promising me a £2500 late PPI settlement. However, here's the catch: my bank will slap on a £55 fee to cash the cheque, unless I can whip out a life insurance policy that's no more than six months old. If I can manage that, they'll happily waive the fee. Then they have the cheek to say they'll connect me with an advisor who is keen to sell me a life insurance policy, all the while suggesting I could cancel it once the cheque comes through. They even prepped me with some scripted answers to give the advisor, making sure not to reveal it’s necessary for dodging the bank charge! When I got on the line with the advisor, I followed their playbook, but when I expressed that I wasn’t ready to make any commitments today, I requested that they send over the policy details instead. They assured me they would send the info via text. Well, guess what? I'm still waiting for that message! Honestly, I might think about their offer once that cheque arrives... but I doubt it!6 yearsIt seems like they’re always switching up the numbers they call from.6 yearsJust got a phone call from someone claiming to be from the British finance dept (didn’t even think that was real). The bloke had an Indian accent (don’t know why, but not calling him a gentleman). He asked straight up for me by name. I always say “that depends who’s asking” when that happens. After he said where he was from, I said, “Cheers, I’ll be blocking your number now.” Seems like these con artists often ring from mobiles or 0330 numbers.British Finance DepartmentSubmit Your Own Report (01487 840719)
