Got calls from 01487 492819 twice today, some robotic voice claiming an iPad was purchased on my Amazon account. Each time, I just hung up straight away. Weird thing is, while waiting for the second call, another number rang me too - I picked up but it just went quiet. Honestly, this is getting on my nerves big time. Can’t these scammers be blocked or something? Proper annoying! grrrr 🤬

I got a call from someone saying our internet was about to be disconnected. When my partner insisted it wasn’t true, the caller, speaking with an Indian accent, just snapped back with “Yes it is, you mother ####er” and hung up straight away.

Got a call from this number around quarter to ten, but my phone showed it was "International". Even though it looked like a UK number, the "International" tag is a big red flag to me - means it’s probably some scammer messing about with the line. I don’t pick up on stuff like that, especially living out here in Suffolk. Definitely a dodgy call in my book.

This number rings me every single day. I finally picked up out of sheer curiosity. The bloke said he was from SKY about a broadband problem. I played along for a bit. Then he asked me to go on some dodgy website, I reckon it was to hack into my stuff. When I told him I work in IT and called him out for being a total cheat, he quickly ended the call :)

Somebody called pretending to be from SKY support, claimed my internet was crawling after checking my computer. I believed them 'cause I was expecting a SKY engineer anyway. Then they managed to scam me out of £300 and attempted to open a bitcoin account in my name! Thankfully my partner was nearby, and when she started getting dodgy emails, I just ended the call. They kept trying to ring back a few times but I didn’t pick up. Luckily, I managed to shut down the bitcoin account, and I contacted my bank straight away while still on the phone with them, so hopefully I can get my money back.

This number has rung me loads of times. A few times people said they were from Sky, saying my insurance was about to expire - which I never took out anyway. Then others pretended to be from BT, warning my internet would get cut off soon if I didn’t do something. I’ve also had calls pretending to be from Amazon Prime, saying they’ll take money from my bank unless I get in touch. It’s all clearly dodgy stuff. Just ignore it!

Got a call from a bloke claiming my internet was running slow. He told me to grab my phone and check the speed, which was a bit sluggish, then he started telling me what it ought to be. A few folks are mentioning it's a scam call pretending to be from Sky, which sounds about right to me. I had a similar call from a woman with an Indian accent a little while ago, from a number that looked alike, who also said she was from Sky. She mentioned issues with my broadband direct debit and seemed linked to some dodgy spam emails I’ve had. Sounds like they’re fishing for bank info or trying to hack into your devices. Wouldnt trust it!

I got a call from a bloke with a really bad crackly line. He had a noticeable Asian accent, maybe from India or Pakistan. He claimed my Sky broadband had been slowing down lately, which was strange since I’d just switched away from Sky recently. He asked what colour the light on my router was, then wanted me to switch on my computer. When I told him my computer was already on because I was working, he cut me off and started calling me names - called me a liar, said I was messin’ about, even called me a “daft muppet” before hanging up. Such a rude guy!
