This number popped up on my phone earlier. A bloke with an Asian accent claimed he was calling from Talk Talk, saying my router had been hacked and he needed to remotely access my laptop to fix it. Problem is, I’ve not been with Talk Talk for ages since my personal info got nicked from them. I decided to humour him a bit, since these scammers always reckon you’ll fall for it. He said he was based in Manchester but couldn’t give me a postcode for some reason. I just told him straight up that he was a scammer and told him to find a proper hobby.
