I got a call from 01483 396015 at about 10:11 on Friday 6th of October 2017. When I answered, all I heard was silence - I said hello a couple of times, then just as I was about to hang up, someone finally spoke but it was already too late. From what I’ve read here, I think I handled it properly (sounds like they were trying to get me to switch phone companies).

I've been getting daily calls from a company called italk, who are always blabbing on about how they can help you save a few quid on your telephone and broadband. Despite my clear lack of interest, they just keep ringing away, which is rather annoying, to say the least. If you're in the same boat, I highly recommend blocking any of these numbers from Guildford. Trust me, once you do, you’ll find a bit of serenity at last!

Got a call from a firm named I Talk, the bloke on the line was actually quite courteous (which is unusual), chatting about some broadband deals and that. I said no thanks nicely, and he was grateful or whatever. But what’s a bit odd is I’ve read elsewhere that this number has been calling folks at 4 in the morning, which is quite unsettling.

Got a call from some call centre but no clue what they were trying to sell, didn’t even let them get the chance. Same old story, I pick up saying ‘hello, speaking here’, then there’s a long pause with loads of background noise before someone finally mumbles ‘hello hello’. That’s my cue to just hang up. Honestly, if you’re ringing people you should be a bit ready when I pick up. Bet they’re using some automatic dialling system or something.

Received a call from 01483396015 today - they seemed to know my last name. The caller claimed to be from BT, informing me they were slashing the cost of my phone line. When they asked if my postcode was *** ***, I hesitated and replied, "I suppose so" (I am well aware of my postcode! but I know that responding with a simple ‘yes’ could potentially expose my mobile to some sort of scam). The chap then responded with, "You suppose so?" (yet another leading question meant to coax a ‘yes’ out of me - so I decided to hang up). Lately, I've been inundated with suspicious calls on my mobile - I typically only pick up if it’s a friend or family member!
