I got a call from 01483 396015 at about 10:11 on Friday 6th of October 2017. When I answered, all I heard was silence - I said hello a couple of times, then just as I was about to hang up, someone finally spoke but it was already too late. From what I’ve read here, I think I handled it properly (sounds like they were trying to get me to switch phone companies).

Got a call from a firm named I Talk, the bloke on the line was actually quite courteous (which is unusual), chatting about some broadband deals and that. I said no thanks nicely, and he was grateful or whatever. But what’s a bit odd is I’ve read elsewhere that this number has been calling folks at 4 in the morning, which is quite unsettling.

Got a call from some call centre but no clue what they were trying to sell, didn’t even let them get the chance. Same old story, I pick up saying ‘hello, speaking here’, then there’s a long pause with loads of background noise before someone finally mumbles ‘hello hello’. That’s my cue to just hang up. Honestly, if you’re ringing people you should be a bit ready when I pick up. Bet they’re using some automatic dialling system or something.

I got a call from 01483396015 earlier today and the person on the line already knew my last name. They told me BT were lowering charges on my line and asked if my postcode was *** ***. I said “I think so” even though I do actually know it, just to avoid giving a definite yes that might open me up to a scam. Then they kept saying “You think so?” like trying to get me to confirm. I didn’t want to risk it so I just ended the call. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of weird calls on my mobile, I only pick up if it’s someone I know, like friends or family.
