This number has been calling us repeatedly throughout the month, but they really ramped up the frequency just yesterday. They didn't bother to identify themselves and instead asked us to confirm our identity. Naturally, we refused to share any of our details until we knew who we were dealing with. At that point, they ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I received a call from the number 0870 125 8879, and the caller claimed to be associated with Evato Finance. They were looking to reach someone who doesn’t reside at my address and even provided a reference number. When I tried calling back, all I got was some hold music. After attempting to search for various spellings related to the company, I stumbled upon this site. I then dialled 01482 66050, which, as I discovered, belongs to Evato Finance. I mentioned my suspicions that they might be trying to con people into calling a premium rate number under false pretences. Naturally, they refuted my claims, but would they admit to such a practice anyway?

Recently, these individuals rang up and had a chat with my husband, mentioning that it was a private matter. He seemed to think they referred to it as Adina or something along those lines. Does anyone have a clue what this could be about?

It turns out this is arvato finance, a firm that tends to take over debts once they're handed to a collections agency. We've got a few accounts with them for domain names we let slip past their renewal dates. To be fair, their team does reach out and they're rather accommodating. They even let you set up payment plans, which is a nice touch.
