I got a call from 01482493172 earlier, but nowadays I don’t pick up unless I’m expecting someone. Instead, I let my answerphone take it and only bother checking the number here if they leave a message. This way I can avoid talking to unwanted callers right away. If more folks did this, I reckon lots of those scam calls would dry up because scammers would see it’s pointless if nobody even picks up in person. Works like a charm for me!

The person claimed to be with British Telecom, but we're not customers of theirs. Also, the caller spoke with a foreign accent.

Got a call from 01482493172, this guy said he was from TalkTalk's tech support. Problem is, I don't even use TalkTalk and he spoke with a strange accent. Definitely seems like a scam to me. This number is linked to the Hull area, specifically Kingston-upon-Hull and places nearby like Beverley.
