Received a call at 16:25 on November 11, 2009. We brought up the Telephone Preference Service, but it seemed to have absolutely no impact on the caller whatsoever.

I received a call, but my toddler snatched the phone and ended up hanging it up (smart little chap!). When I tried to call back, I found the number was busy. The call came through on the 16th of November, 2009, at 2 in the afternoon.

Received a call at 15:56 on the 11th of November, 2009. When I picked up, the caller simply hung up. This bothersome individual really ought to be tracked down and held accountable for their actions. The area code indicates that this call is likely coming from the Hull vicinity.

I've been getting calls from this number for about a week now, typically around lunchtime. Up until today, the caller would hang up as soon as I said "Hello!" when I picked up, but something seems to have changed. Now, we’ve decided to ignore the calls, but the ringing just keeps on coming without anyone hanging up. As I jot this down, I've already received five calls, all starting around noon. Quite bizarre, really!

I received a couple of calls earlier today. While I completely missed the first one, I did manage to answer the second, but no one was on the line. Strangely, they didn’t hang up as soon as I said hello; the line just stayed open. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

Received a call at 14:42, but the caller hung up before we could answer or before the voicemail kicked in. We've tried ringing back, but it just keeps giving that busy signal. I'm quite curious about the earlier comments as we're registered on the Telephone Preference Service, and this marks the second time in a few weeks that we've had calls looking to speak with the person responsible for the phone bills. It was rather foolish of us not to use 1471 to track down the number on those occasions. What a blunder!

Earlier today, precisely at eleven thirty-five, we received yet another call. It was swift, and I managed to engage in conversation with a young lady on the other end. She stated that her call was in relation to SMS services. We made it clear that we are on the Telephone Preference Service list, to which she insisted we need to renew our registration annually. We are well aware that this claim is not factual and are in the process of confirming with the TPS, particularly since we recently switched our phone provider; it might have inadvertently removed us from their list. Rest assured, should they ring us again, we will be reporting them without hesitation.

I've had a couple of calls from this number this week. I missed the first one, but when I answered the second, all I got was silence. When I tried calling back, I was greeted by some annoying hold music. I’m also registered with the phone preference service, so I’m puzzled about where these bothersome calls are stemming from. As a pensioner who’s recently lost my partner, these unexpected rings feel quite unsettling and invasive, making me feel a bit on edge in my own home.

It's just like any other number we've come across. We've had a word with BT and requested them to block that particular phone number from getting in touch with us. It seems to have done the trick, as we haven't received any calls from them since.

In the last three weeks, we've received a staggering eight calls from this number. Most of the time, the line just goes silent, and when we attempt to call back, we’re met with some cheery hold music instead. We've lodged a formal complaint with OFCOM and are signed up with the TPS. We're also planning to report this nuisance to the BBC Watchdog programme for further assistance. Rest assured, when we finally connect with a representative from this company, they’re going to wish they never called us!

A company just rang me up claiming they could significantly cut down our expenses on "line rental." They’ve dubbed themselves the most affordable option around.

I’ve received calls from this number multiple times, and all I’ve been greeted with is music. When I try to ring back, I either get no response or they hang up on me. It's rather perplexing, and I'm keen to know what they're up to, especially since they’ve also contacted other family members who’ve had the same experience. If anyone has any information, could you please share it here? It would be a tremendous help in keeping my relatives informed. Cheers, Louise.

I experienced a rather peculiar silent call; as soon as I hung up and put the phone down, the line seemed to remain live for an unreasonable amount of time. Quite baffling, really, as it didn’t disconnect immediately!

For the past three weeks, we've been inundated with phone calls. Initially, it was just one call every couple of days, but since Saturday, the 14th of November, we’ve been bombarded with two or even three calls daily. I've just lodged a complaint with OFCOM and also signed up for the Telephone Preference Service, although it may take as long as 28 weeks for that to kick in properly.

I recently received a phone call from a company that claimed to be able to slash our "line rental" costs. They touted themselves as the most affordable option around. After being bombarded with numerous calls over the past several days, I took it upon myself to investigate. It turns out our number is listed with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), which is supposed to block such annoying calls. If you find yourself in a similar situation, they do offer a complaints line where you can voice your grievances about these persistent callers.

Received a call today, 9th December 2009. I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service; however, the callers claimed they hadn't been notified! They then went on to assert that my TPS details were no longer current. They identified themselves as a text from Hull, wanting to chat about changing my phone service. Yeah, right, as if I’d entertain that!

This number kept calling us, ringing a second time just moments after the first, so we decided to give them a bell in return. Turns out, they’re one of those companies trying to persuade us to save a few quid on our bills. Honestly, I wish these sorts of businesses would just disappear!

I had a call come through, but when I answered, there was silence on the other end before they hung up. Quite peculiar!

Received a single silent call followed by two actual rings. Each time, we informed them to remove our number from their database. It’s evident they haven’t done so. I’m now escalating this issue to the TPS. What a nuisance! 😒
