5 yearsToday, I got a call from this number claiming I’d taken out an insurance plan with them for my fridge, cooker, and washing machine a couple of years ago. They were trying to sell me a renewal at a cheaper price. I had no clue who they were and when I asked for any details about the policy or the items I supposedly insured, they couldn’t provide any. I told them I wasn’t interested anymore, but they insisted I still had to pay to cancel the contract. When I asked if they could prove I’d signed anything, they said it wasn’t necessary since I supposedly agreed over the phone. They even gave me the last four digits of a card, but I didn’t recognise it at all. I’ve tried calling them back to get proof of the contract, but no luck getting through. Honestly, I’m pretty convinced this is a scam.5 yearsThey told me I owed money on a home drainage insurance policy. The thing is, I’ve never signed up for any drain cover at all!5 yearsThey claimed I’d signed up for a 5 year TV insurance plan and had only paid for two years so far. They tried to sell me the remainder at a cheaper rate, but I told them I didn’t have my card on me so there was nothing I could do.
