We've been receiving calls from someone who just won't take the hint! We've told them repeatedly that we're not keen on any upgrades with 3, but they persist. It's becoming quite the nuisance!

I just received a call from this number on my mobile, but when I answered, there was silence on the other end. Instead of engaging, I took to the internet to investigate. I've stopped responding to national or 0800 and 0845 numbers altogether, as they're all too similar to landline calls. Despite being listed with the standard preference services, it appears I'm still inundated with bothersome marketing calls and oddballs.

Could someone enlighten me as to who persistently keeps ringing our number?

Received a call from this number quite a few times, but we've yet to return the call. Strangely, they never left a message. It appears to be related to a telecommunications company based on a quick look-up. I'm just puzzled about how they managed to get hold of our details.

I can’t believe the audacity of these people; it’s as if they’d sell their own relatives just to make a quick buck, and they’re not above twisting the truth either! To begin with, they’re employing a typical telesales method of ringing the first person who answers, without a care for those who’ve opted out. It's clear they aren't bothered about honouring privacy preferences. It appears they’ve been operating for quite some time and are likely a network of companies, all sharing the same dodgy practices, yet something feels decidedly off about them! So, they called me claiming to be from an actual mobile provider, and they had all sorts of personal information about my account. They knew my name and address, but what really sent alarm bells ringing was their knowledge of my renewal date, which my actual network affirmed they should never have access to. These chaps are clearly not part of any legitimate mobile network; they look more like resellers with some sort of dealer access. To top it all off, I’d never given them my details nor initiated any conversation with them before. The call left me with an eerie sense that they had far more information than they should have, implying my account might have been compromised. My instincts tell me something shady is going on, and a mate of mine received a similar call from them, where they also knew about renewal dates that The One Point shouldn’t have had a clue about. This is all very suspicious, to say the least!
