i got this automated call from a woman who sounded Aussie, saying there was a £400 payment made on Amazon and another one for £1300 via some international money transfer. she told me to press 1 if i wanted to approve it or press 2 to stop the transaction. this isn’t the first time i’ve had this call, it’s come through a few times now. pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Is there a way to block phone numbers? Trying to stop annoying calls and looking for something that can help with number blocking. Any recommendations?

I got a call from a woman with a really strong accent claiming she was from some “call blocking service” that was apparently ending the next day. It didn’t sound right to me since the proper name is the Telephone Preference Service, so I just hung up thinking it might be a scam.
