Got a call about my card security mentioning two recent charges, one for £1300 on Amazon and another £400 for a money transfer, asking me to confirm them. Checked with my bank and turned out it was a scam.

Got a robo call claiming to be from some bank security, but they never mentioned which bank. I ended the call and checked the number with 1471. The dialling code was 01842, which I know banks don’t use. Plus, banks never actually ring you out of the blue like that. Total scam.

Had three calls today from this number, 01482354811, all about some supposed £1300 international money transfer on my card. Definitely a dodgy scam to watch out for!
