That was Currys ringing me up.

I only worked out after looking here that it might have been Curry's calling. The phone stopped ringing after just 10 or 15 seconds and then cut off; maybe because I didn’t have enough credit to pick up. That’s why I decided to check it online. I’ve just sorted out my Care & Repair contract again so it could be related to that, but they haven’t tried ringing me again since.

I received a call purporting to be from Currys PC World, claiming they needed my bank details to set up a plan for my HP laptop service. When I looked up the number, 01480 768016, on Google, there was no indication that it was associated with Currys. When I pressed the caller about this discrepancy, they abruptly hung up. Very suspicious!
