Got a call from someone saying they wanted to set me up with insurance for a kitchen appliance I have. Felt dodgy when they kept pushing for my bank info to start a direct debit. Honestly, no proper insurance firm asks for that over the phone. Probably best to just steer clear and not hand over any personal details to random callers. Not worth the risk at all.

Had a call from someone saying they wanted to sell insurance for one of my appliances. Things got fishy when they kept pushing for my bank info to sort a direct debit. Real insurers wouldn't act like that. Best to steer clear, you shouldn't be handing out personal info to random cold calls. Better safe than sorry.
