Just had a rather peculiar phone call, an English chap claiming to be from the 'Energy Advisory Board', going on about how my loft insulation is trapping moisture. Ridiculous, isn’t it? How on earth could he possibly know that? When he reassured me with a 'not to worry, we're aware...', I retorted, 'No, you're really not.' He promptly cut the conversation short! It's an obvious scam, but what’s truly astonishing is how these fraudsters are now using a local number! The area code nearly had me fooled into thinking it was for real! Fingers crossed that this number doesn't end up being nabbed by a genuine local enterprise.
