Got a call roughly half an hour ago from 01479722061, I’m based near Poole. Like others mentioned, the bloke claimed he was returning my call, which was weird as I never rang them. Kept banging on about damp issues and some government-backed insulation deal. He even said, “You must’ve read the article in the Telegraph.” I told him I wasn’t interested but he just kept pushing this free survey nonsense. When I said there’s no problem at my place, he goes, “Well, the survey won’t take long, can you do the morning?” Me, quite firm, said NO NO NO and hung up.

These lot have been ringing me before but always from different phone numbers. I usually don’t pick up if I don’t know the number, and it looks like they were trying to call all over my area. I’ve put a block on them now. Funny thing about the accents - in Australia, folks from nearby Asian countries end up being hired illegally to do these scam calls. If you watch a couple episodes of “Border Patrol” you’ll see what I mean. Hope the UK Home Office is paying attention!

I’ve been receiving a bunch of calls lately from people saying my home is part of some energy usage survey. They also claim I’m listed as having insulation already.
