I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, with the person saying they were from BT (claimed employee code BT19840). They told me there was an issue with my router and asked me to check it right away so they could run some tests. I told them I was at work and asked why they were contacting me when the account was in my husband’s name. They got quiet for a moment but then told me to either call back or have my husband ring them once I was home, using the same number they’d called from!

Just got a call from someone claiming to be from my internet company, saying there's a fault with my router. Felt a bit dodgy to me.
