I don’t get why BT never bans or looks into these scammers pretending to be from their firm. It’s impossible to even report the number directly to them. Seems like they’re just after your cash and not bothered about sorting anything out.

Got a call from this number like 6 times in just one hour. At last I answered. Some Asian bloke named Jason said he was ringing from BT about our router. I asked for more info but he couldn’t provide any, so I told him I wasn’t interested in chatting anymore and ended the call.

They keep ringing, saying they're from BT, but when I mention it's their third time calling me today from different numbers, they just hang up. Getting really annoyed with all these calls now.

Just got a call not long ago from someone saying they were with BT and that my internet was about to be cut off because there was malware on my connection. I wasn’t having any of it and told them straight they were talking rubbish. I also warned them if they tried ringing again, I’d mess with their systems instead. Honestly, do these scammers really believe we’re completely daft?

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from BT tech support. He told me my internet was being hacked by someone in the US. I rang BT myself and they told me there’s been no breach at all. Pretty sure it’s a total scam!

I received a rather alarming message stating that my internet service would be cut off in two hours due to someone apparently tampering with my connection. I informed the caller that I wasn't dealing with any such issues and asked them to kindly take a hike!

This has all the hallmarks of a scam. I'm wondering why BT or any other phone network haven't blocked calls from this number yet? Seems like they're just trying their luck here.

Today, this number rang my wife at our place. Luckily, I’ve got a cousin who works at the BT call centre, so I was able to check if it was a legit number. Turns out, it was a fraudster! I’m kinda hoping they ring again tonight - won’t be pretty when I answer, haha!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said his name was Michael and that he was ringing about my broadband from BT. I asked him for my account number as proof but he couldn’t give it. Then I asked him for my name, and again, he couldn’t confirm it. I told him I didn’t think he was legit, ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Just like others have mentioned before, I received a call from a chap claiming to be Roger, and surprise, surprise, he was from India! He asserted my Internet was having issues, which I found rather amusing considering I don’t even own a computer. The look of bewilderment on his face was worth the call! In the end, he just gave up and hung up the phone. It’s a right shame we can’t put an end to these scams; it seems like dodgy companies here in the UK are happily selling off old phone numbers to these overseas callers, who then exploit them from places like India. Quite the mess, isn’t it?

The BT Security team has informed me that this is the same Asian lady, although she frequently changes her phone number. They reportedly receive around 300 scam call reports daily! I was recommended to use their call protection service. It’s quite straightforward-just ring 0800 389 1572 and follow the prompts. It won’t take you more than a minute! Seriously, give it a go!!!

I had an interesting encounter the other day. Some chaps rang me up, insisting I hop online so they could assist in "securing" my connection. They spun a tale about unauthorised downloads mucking up BT’s servers and claimed they’d cut off my service in two hours if I didn’t play ball! I quickly told them to shove it.

I received a call claiming that my internet connection via BT wasn’t safe and that they could assist in tightening the security. When I informed her that BT isn’t my provider, she insisted rather vehemently that BT was the sole server provider in the UK and seemed quite irritated, implying I was completely clueless about it!

I had a rather peculiar encounter earlier. An Asian lady, claiming to be from BT, rang me up regarding some alleged issues with my internet connection. Curious, I requested her to share the phone number she was calling from. She replied with "020..." and added that she could ring me back at a time that suited me. When I expressed that arranging that would be a bit tricky, she abruptly cut the call. Quite the odd experience!

I had a rather uncomfortable encounter with a polite lady from Asia who seemed quite irked when I mentioned the distress these sorts of calls can cause to those who are more susceptible. She insisted on me switching on my computer, claiming she could assist me. However, when I probed about the potential charges, she simply dodged the question. Quite baffling!
