I just received a phone call from someone claiming to represent BT Openreach, stating he was contacting me about problems with my broadband service. He insisted he was part of the technical team. Honestly, I wouldn't trust these types at all! They sound like complete charlatans!

been getting loads of calls from spoofed numbers lately. this one had an aviemore area code. tried ringing back but no answer and the number didnt come up anywhere. i only pick up when the caller is in my contacts. so blocked straight away.

Normally I wouldn’t pick up, but I did this time. When I said nothing, the caller just said "hello" and then hung up. It definitely sounded like a call centre with all the noise you could hear in the background.
