got a call from some supposed “bt tech team” saying my internet would be disconnected in a day unless i acted fast, with a recorded woman’s voice telling me to press 1 if i was with bt or 5 for another provider. the way she spoke wasnt natural english, the pauses and emphasis were all off. makes no sense that bt would threaten to cut off my internet if they arent even my provider. sounds like a dodgy scam to me - pressing those numbers probably hooks you up to an expensive premium rate line. blocked it straight away.
