Just got a ring from this lad who claimed he could sort out all my annoying calls. He then said he’d connect me to his supervisor who could sort things out better. Then he mentioned we were with the TPS, and if any dodgy calls came through, he’d hang up on them - which I did after that.

like a bunch of other people, i kept getting unwanted calls even tho we’re on the tps list. they said from now on they’d stop calling me. i mentioned we don’t pay our phone bill through direct debit, only to hear a little silence on their side. then the person asked if i had my visa card ready, but as soon as i said no, they just ended the call. quite strange really.

someone rang me claiming to be from my phone company, said they could help block those annoying calls. they already had my name and address but asked for my bank info, which seemed dodgy. i just ended the call straight away. best to ignore that number completely.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the preference service, asking for my card info. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I just hung up straightaway.

Got a call from these lot asking for bank card info. I just hung up straight away, sounded like a total scam to me. Be careful and don’t share anything. I’ve reported them already, best to just block and ignore.

Got a phone call from some guy named Trevor who said he was with BT. He told me they’d noticed I’d been getting a lot of annoying calls. I said yep, this one’s actually one of those. Then he just cut the call off without saying anything else.

Got a call from some bloke called Jeffry this morning, said he was with the telephone preference service and claimed there were loads of complaints about nuisance calls from my number. I cut him off quick and told him where to go. It's clearly a scam call, likely with a fake caller ID like others have mentioned. You can actually hear a pause before you get put through to whoever’s on the line, plus the noise of a call centre in the backgound. Best to just hang up and not waste your time with them.

This number called me but when I picked up, there was complete silence at the other end, I only heard the dialling sound.
What’s worse is I was admitted to hospital on Monday afternoon due to a bad angina attack. I’m back home now, but calls like this stress me out and could easily trigger another episode.

Whenever I get one of those calls, I just mess about with them and drag the call out for ages. It’s kinda turned into a bit of a laugh for me, wasting their time so they can’t bother anyone else while they’re stuck chatting to me.
