01476 852674 rang me out of the blue claiming to be an “Energy Advisor” for my region. They said my home likely had the “older style” loft insulation and hinted I should upgrade. I reckon the plan was to push for some sprayed loft insulation, saying it’s a far better option. Problem is, foam sprays like that can cause issues if not done properly or with the right materials. I told them I was feeling a bit poorly (which was true) and that I wasn’t able to access my loft (which wasn’t). After that, they just hung up. Blocked this number straight away.

Today around 1.32pm (25.07.2020), I got an unexpected call from a woman saying I’d been in a car crash. I told her I definitely hadn’t had any accidents. Then she said it happened sometime in the past three years. I told her again that’s not true and asked where she found my number. She claimed it was from the road traffic accident department. I told her I don’t think that department even exists, and she just ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT about issues with my internet. When I said I don’t actually use BT, the person suddenly got really confrontational and rude, then just hung up on me. Quite unpleasant experience!

Got a call from this number around 2pm today, it showed up on my missed calls but there was no voicemail or anything left behind.

Got calls with nothing but silence on the other end, which felt really annoying and stressful. I reckon it’s harassment based on the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. I went ahead and blocked the number now.

was told by some caller it was from bt and that our internet connection will be stopped soon. thankfully, we didn't fall for it!

Got a recorded call with some American sounding voice warning me my BT line might get cut off today. They asked me to push some numbers, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a woman with a strange accent saying my phone line was about to get disconnected. It wasn’t from BT or anything familiar. I told her to go ahead and disconnect me then, and she just hung up. Still got my phone working fine, so I think it was a scam.
