Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming his name was John Wilson. He said he was from some tech company or another. When I replied with, ‘Oh please, don’t say there’s a problem with my PC that he can fix remotely,’ he just dropped the call. Definitely a scammer!

Got a call earlier today from this number and it was some guy with an Indian accent telling me my computer was infected with a virus. I told him I don’t even have a computer and he just dropped the call right away, no chat or nothing - classic scam alert!

Some guy rang me claiming to be from Microsoft, saying he had to verify if my computer was working fine and wasn't hacked or anything. He asked me to log into my laptop, but when I told him I was at my job, he just ended the call.

Got a call from a lady saying she wanted to discuss some issues with my computer. I have no clue who she was or where she got my phone number from since I don’t use any computer support services whatsoever. - caller: The Tech Help Desk

Got a call from some woman today claiming my computer had a virus and she needed to get in to fix it. No clue who she was or which company she represented. Seriously, does anyone actually fall for this nonsense nowadays? From what I understand, if you let them in, they actually plant some spyware so they can steal your personal and financial info. The number they called from has to be tied to someone, so why hasn’t the police or anyone else taken action to stop these fraudsters? It’s ridiculous this keeps happening.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a computer tech. When I asked what exactly they wanted, they just kept dodging the question before hanging up on me. Honestly, don’t waste your time chatting with these scammers - best to just ignore and hang up.

Yet another scam call! They seem to have a foreign accent but are using a UK number. "Madam, we're calling regarding your computer," they say, and I can tell it's dodgy from the start.

Had a call at 16:43 from a bloke, might be foreign, insisting he needed to remotely connect to our computer to sort out a virus. Quite worried they've somehow got hold of our name.

Similar to previous experiences, I found myself dealing with an individual from tech support regarding a computer issue that seemed beyond their comprehension. The moment we pressed for clarity, their attitude turned quite snarky and unpleasant. Definitely felt like a scam!
