Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming his name was John Wilson. He said he was from some tech company or another. When I replied with, ‘Oh please, don’t say there’s a problem with my PC that he can fix remotely,’ he just dropped the call. Definitely a scammer!

Got a call earlier today from this number and it was some guy with an Indian accent telling me my computer was infected with a virus. I told him I don’t even have a computer and he just dropped the call right away, no chat or nothing - classic scam alert!

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting they needed to verify that my computer was functioning properly and hadn't been hacked. When he asked me to access my laptop, I mentioned I was at work, and suddenly, he just cut the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a woman asserting she wanted to discuss some computer issues with me. It has me puzzled, as I have absolutely no clue who she is or how she managed to get hold of my phone number, considering we don’t even use any sort of tech support services. The caller identified herself as being from The Tech Help Desk. Odd, to say the least!

Earlier today, I received a rather peculiar call from a lady claiming that a virus had infiltrated my computer and she needed me to grant her access to eliminate it. Frankly, I haven't the foggiest who she was or which establishment she represented. Seriously, does anyone still fall for these ridiculous ruses? Just in case there are any unsuspecting souls out there, let me explain how the con works: once you allow these tricksters into your system, they promptly implant malware, enabling them to pilfer your sensitive financial details and other personal information. It stands to reason that the number must be tied to an individual, so I can't help but wonder why the authorities and similar organisations aren't putting a stop to these crooks?

I've received a call very similar to what others have mentioned. The chap claimed to be a tech support person, but when I pressed him for specifics about the reason for his call, he just danced around the question and eventually hung up. My tip? It's best not to engage with these con artists at all!

Got a call that just went dead on the line - definitely smells like a scam to me!

I had a rather curious experience earlier today when I received a call from this number. An Indian chap identified himself and promptly informed me that my computer was infected with a virus. When I mentioned that I actually don't possess a computer, the line went dead with no further chit-chat - dodgy behaviour indeed! Just a heads-up, folks; keep your wits about you, as this one’s clearly up to no good!

I just received a rather dodgy call, claiming that I had enrolled in some sort of technical support scheme. They went on about how my computer could be in jeopardy. I must admit, I played along for a bit before I finally told them to take a hike when they began fishing for my personal details! Definitely hang up and blacklist that number, folks! They’re nothing but con artists - the caller had a foreign twang, by the way.

A call that left me hanging in silence.

Yet another scam call! They seem to have a foreign accent but are using a UK number. "Madam, we're calling regarding your computer," they say, and I can tell it's dodgy from the start.

Had a call at 16:43 from a bloke, might be foreign, insisting he needed to remotely connect to our computer to sort out a virus. Quite worried they've somehow got hold of our name.

Similar to previous experiences, I found myself dealing with an individual from tech support regarding a computer issue that seemed beyond their comprehension. The moment we pressed for clarity, their attitude turned quite snarky and unpleasant. Definitely felt like a scam!
