Some woman was trying to sell me a binary options thing for cryptocurrencies. She kept saying it’s a pretty safe way to get really good returns. I told her I used to work as a trader in the city and binary options aren’t really suitable for everyday investors and asked for her FCA licence number. She hung up straight away. Binary options are basically gambling, not real investing. And with cryptocurrencies involved, it’s even more dangerous. Stay well clear of it.

Got a call about cryptocurrencies. The lady on the other end barely had any clue apart from some rehearsed lines and was trying to get me to invest through her company, which honestly smells like a scam. Even if it isn’t dodgy, investing in something so risky through a random cold call is a terrible idea, especially with something as unpredictable as crypto where you could either gain loads or end up losing it all.

A woman called and knew my name, claiming she was with DG Coin. Pretty sure it’s a scam. I told her I work for the police and mentioned how crypto is often linked to funding terrorism both here and abroad. She then asked what she needs to do to become a policewoman.
