Ideal Choice called me, saying they had been to my house last month about some vouchers. Then the woman said not to worry if I couldn’t recall, but I told her I really didn’t remember and ended the call. I’ve since blocked their number. Nothing’s free these days, that’s for sure!

Got a call from a really polite guy who asked for me by name. He said he was calling from Ideal Choice and mentioned some high street vouchers they had for me. I told him I’d never come across them before and wasn’t interested in any vouchers. He just said alright and then ended the call.

She said sorry in a friendly way and ended the call. So yeah, polite enough (which is rare), but still not right.

Got a call saying it wasn't selling anything. They asked me not to hang up, said it’d only take half a minute. Turned out to be some energy survey, asking if I own the house, how long I've lived here, the age of the place, if windows and doors are over ten years old. Then they asked for my last name, I said no, and they just ended the call. Honestly, just put the phone down straight away.

Over the past few years, I've had all sorts of voices ring me up looking for Mr Blackwell. One time it was a really bad time, and I ended up giving them a right earful before slamming the phone down. Next time they bother me, I reckon I'll just ask if they enjoy what they do and if their mum and dad are proud of them - same as I do with the ones pretending to be from Microsoft.

Over the past few days, these lot have called me three times. The first time, it was just a quick survey. I went through the questions and they mentioned I qualified for some vouchers. I just ended the call, didn’t think much of it. Today, while I wasn’t home, they called but were looking for someone else and tried to sell me some energy efficient light bulbs. Not long after, they called back and started chatting about the vouchers again. If they ring once more, I’m definitely going to ask them who they really are and what their deal is.

Got a ring from this number earlier, some young bloke named Jack. He asked for me specifically and claimed he was doing a survey around here. He said if I took a moment to do the survey, I'd get a box of those energy-saving bulbs as a freebie. The moment I said "no thanks," he just cut off the call.

I got a ring from this number earlier. Since it looked like a local one, I decided to pick up. A young woman asked if I was "Mr Force" and when I said no, she went on to say I’d won some vouchers because I’d apparently done a survey recently! I told her it wasn’t a good time to talk, and she nicely apologised and ended the call. She was quite polite for a nuisance caller, but now I’m left wondering if it was legit and maybe I did fill out a survey without realising!

So, this woman rang me up saying she was calling about a survey I'd supposedly completed. I told her straight away I never take part in any surveys. She insisted she wasn't trying to sell anything but then started quizzing me about my windows and doors. Apparently, if I answered all her questions, she said I’d receive vouchers for use on windows and doors later on. She claimed my house dated back to the 1970s and asked if the doors were original. I said yes, and then she strangely asked how old they were. Knowing she already had the info, I jokingly said a hundred years! She didn't challenge that, but then suggested I might be considering replacing them soon. I laughed and said no way, they’ll last me another century easily. Curious, I asked what company she represented. Turns out, she didn’t work for any. So, I just told her cheers and ended the call.
