I’m renting this number but haven’t made any calls to anyone. BT are sorting out changing my number at the moment. The folks calling you have their own numbers but they’re showing this one as their caller ID, which is basically spoofing and fraud. I’ve been picking up some of the calls and some are pretty nasty - people calling back expecting someone else but getting me, just an ordinary homeowner. This mess started on Monday. Sorry for the trouble but it’s really not my doing.

I got a dead line from this number after a quiet ring and a click, probably one of those auto dialler things gone wrong? Feels like it might be connected to some dodgy business.

Got a call with nobody speaking on the other end, so I just ended it right away. Then about ten minutes later, I got another call from a different number I’ve seen before, with some scammer trying to say £600 was about to be taken from my Visa card.

Got two silent calls today, which is just annoying. Honestly, we should be sending loads of emails to phone companies and even the Prime Minister about this. If they got enough complaints, surely they'd take some action to put an end to it.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT, offering to fix issues with my "internet connection." Thing is, I told her I actually don't even have internet, and she just ended the call straight away. Really frustrating, especially as I had just come in quickly from the garden! I wonder where they find these phone numbers, must be at no cost to them or something.

Today at 3.14pm on Monday 15th July, I got a call from this number. When I asked where they were calling from, they gave me a postcode in London EC1. The person was speaking really quickly and I had to ask them to slow down and be clearer, but they just couldn’t manage it. Then, when I asked them to say the postcode again, they ended up swearing at me and hanging up.

Got a call from some bloke called Jack claiming he was from BT in Pakistan, going on about my internet was full of viruses every time I was on Facebook or shopping online. I told him I wasn’t daft or gullible, but he just kept saying he was a decent lad, not some thief. Then he suddenly hung up on me. Proper scam if you ask me.

Got a missed call from this number, didn’t pick up, just waited and they ended the call themselves. Tried ringing them back but all I got was a busy signal. Looks like some dodgy call centre trying their luck on whoever picks up next. Honestly, feels a bit sad for them, counting that as a proper job when there’s probably better things they could be doing with their time.
